These Terms of Use describe the use of the individual interfaces, known as endpoints, as well as the maintenance portal, known as the APIstax Dashboard.
The service is primarily aimed at B2B customers. However, you may also use the service as a private customer. The cancellation policy and a corresponding form can be found at the end of these Terms of Use.
Note: Austrian law applies to all contractual terms. The contractual language is German. The following paragraphs have been translated into English for easier readability.
Registration and use of the Dashboard are fundamentally free of charge. To allow you to thoroughly test the interfaces, we provide you with 100 free credits, which can be used within the first two months after registration. However, only by subscribing to a plan you can use the interfaces without restrictions, depending on the number of included credits. The credits from the trial period expire upon subscription.
Pre-contractual information will be sent to the email address you used for registration.
To use the APIstax interfaces, a subscription is required. A corresponding subscription can be concluded via the Dashboard. Each subscription includes a certain number of usable credits. Each call to an interface reduces the available credits by the number specified in the documentation. Credits are reset to the initial subscription value on a monthly basis. Unused credits expire. Calls that return an error do not reduce the quota.
A subscription automatically renews for the selected contract term. The agreed costs will be automatically deducted from the stored payment method.
A subscription can be canceled at any time. In this case, the subscription will remain active until the end of the contract term and will not be renewed.
Credit cards are accepted as payment methods. Payments are processed via the payment service provider Mollie, based in the Netherlands.
Access to the Dashboard and the corresponding interfaces is encrypted using an SSL certificate.
Necessary maintenance on the interfaces, Dashboard, and all involved software components will be published promptly on the status page linked on the APIstax website. Unscheduled maintenance may also be carried out without prior notice and does not constitute a reduction in service.
The individual interfaces are designed for 24/7 operation. However, this availability cannot be guaranteed, as technical dependencies may lead to interruptions or the shutdown of individual interfaces.
We are not aware of the data you process at any time and will not review it.
If you process illegal content, protected intellectual property, copyrighted material, or any other immoral or offensive content, or bring such content to our attention, we reserve the right to immediately suspend your account without prior notice and charge a corresponding fee, as well as to hand over the content to the relevant authorities upon request.
You undertake to comply with all contractual terms and to hold the operator of APIstax harmless from any claims. We will take legal action against any violations.
Within four hours of a disruption or outage occurring, we will begin analyzing and resolving the issue during our business hours. Outside of business hours, analysis and resolution will commence on the next business day.
By commissioning the creation, management, operation, and maintenance of services in APIstax, you agree to the use of your company name, including your company logo and technical project details, on our website, as well as being named as a reference customer in marketing materials and offers.
Prices for maintenance and operation are adjusted annually according to the Austrian Consumer Price Index (CPI 2010) on the billing date.
The total amount due must be paid immediately after ordering or subscribing, using the selected payment service provider without deduction. The corresponding invoice will be sent electronically within 14 business days.
By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you have obtained the necessary consents for the processing of personal data of third parties, such as data from your customers and their customers.
The general business conditions of Austrian IT service providers apply.
If individual provisions of this contract are or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining contract shall remain unaffected.
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor self-employed professional activities. The following withdrawal policy does not apply to B2B transactions.
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

by means of a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post, fax, or email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
The consumer has no right of withdrawal for the delivery of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium if the entrepreneur - with the consumer’s express consent, combined with the consumer’s acknowledgment of the loss of the right of withdrawal upon early commencement of contract performance - has begun performance before the end of the withdrawal period, after providing a copy or confirmation in accordance with § 7(3) FAGG.
According to § 7(3) FAGG, the consumer shall be provided with a confirmation of the concluded contract on a durable medium (e.g., email), including the information specified in § 4(1) FAGG, within a reasonable period after the conclusion of the contract, but at the latest before the commencement of the service, unless this information has already been provided on a durable medium. The contract confirmation shall in any case include confirmation of the consent to immediate performance and the consumer’s acknowledgment of the resulting loss of the right of withdrawal.
